Lapstone Barn in the Cotswolds
Pete & Alexandra got married in the beautiful Cotswold Hills at Lapstone Barn, near Chipping Campden. Lapstone Barn is one of my absolute favourite venues to photograph, right in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by fields. My second photographer, Sam, joined me for this wedding. This meant I could be with Alexandra all morning in the Hayloft, while Sam was with the boys.
Having a second photographer also means lots more candid photos of your guests enjoying themselves, and two different views of the ceremony - meaning that we can capture both of your reactions!
Getting Ready
The girls got ready in the Hayloft - a beautiful space upstairs at Lapstone Barn. Pete & Alexandra's gorgeous dog Heidi was on hand to help where necessary! Sam, my second photographer, was photographing the boys. Pete and his groomsmen were in military uniform, and for security reasons, I can't publish any of those photos.
Alexandra's hair was done by Megan Lee, and makeup by Gemma Clark. The beautiful flowers by Statham Flowers.
Ceremony
As Pete and his groomsmen were in military uniform, I can't publish any photos of the ceremony, guard of honour, or confetti when the boys were in uniform. They did change later though, so I can show photos from later on.
Suffice to say, the ceremony room at Lapstone Barn looked stunning, with lighting from The Little Lighting Co. and their dog Heidi was the first to walk down the aisle!
Cotswold Wedding
The wedding breakfast room also looked stunning, decorated by them with gin bottles which are always very effective. The beautiful cake (featuring Heidi the dog) was created by Rachel's Cake Creations.
Cotswold Wedding Photographer
This was an October wedding, which meant it got dark early, so we went out to do some photos in the stunning sunset before their speeches. The light at Lapstone Barn is incredible.
Lapstone Barn Wedding
After their wedding breakfast there were speeches, the cake cutting and an incredible first dance! The evening entertainment was provided by the band Backstage Brass.
